Did you know that you can order free copies of a booklet from the government, called "Nutrient Value of Common Foods"? This was one of the best things I did. The PDF is online (and also below). The information is all online. But it's so small! And, you have to have a computer to access it. I filled out the form, and in a few weeks, I had copies of the glossy, spiral-bound, colour version. I can make notes in it, and highlight the most common foods that I eat, so now I don't have to look them up every. single. time.
It's worth taking the time to fill out the request form. Whatever your political beliefs, the Government of Canada does put out a lot of great documents. This is one of them.
